oC Colouring: SF Challenge

for the past week I had accumulated about 40 hours of work in my openCanvas colouring the challenge by Alvin Lee

Last week-end we were at FanExpo, so we had the chance to speak with some of the people from Udon. One of the tips that Omar had given us about colour line art (not about this piece btw) was lightening the lineart piece, that got me thinking. So I ended up reapplying line work to the colour layer to enhance and deepen the image.

very minor changes have been made.

I had received a reply from Alfred who is taking care of receiving the submissions. His letter had included some very well written constructive critique about the contrast (which I had increased by increasing the first shade layer) and giving Alex and Ryu a rougher look. Personnaly I am not very good with drawing rough looks, I need to work on that I suppose, but I had noted how the painting was a bit soft for their colors. Thus I added a bit of extra highlights and form to these two characters.

Since I am having some trouble, I would appreciate your own opinions as well on this matter that was brought up.
