Chun Li Stage by NalaFontaine Chun Li Stage by NalaFontaine

who challenges people to color this piece. So I took up a challenge and what a challenge.
The only thing I used for this was openCanvas v1.1
with only three layer modes and no alpha channels I had to think and clean up the piece in a more manual form

oh by the way, the right hand seemed a bit strange, I edited it, We had though it looked like there were only two bones instead of three in the fingers, they looked quite short.
Well anyway. Hope you like this coloring version :)

Very good, and I like the light beaconing the most. Comes off very naturally.

I know it's been a year since anyone commented on this, but I love the way you colored this. Well done Nala! :)

thanks, I'm still experimenting with the program I've used to do the colouring... and people seldom leave comments on my stuff, so don't sweat about it.
much appreciated though :meow:

get to know them all as I would believe. Right now I'm toying ALLOT with openCanvas v1.1 (this is probably the answer you are seeking)
It is very small and has few layer types, but it has some really great features and fantastic pencil and brush functions which you can adjust on a whim. The limitations that the programs have enable me to be creative and utilize their capabilities. Other mediums also give insight on comprehension, like sculpting and painting, I hope to take on some more real sculpting some time soon, it sure does give a great feel for 3D.

easy shouldn't be the word here, it should be focused I guess... If you are really really into a drawing, you are really tuned into it, all there exist is the image before you and nothing else. you can go for hours working on a single drawing. Keep on drawing yourself, you show the love of fanart. There are lots of sources and tips you can get from everywhere, but mostly Life Drawing. It helps a lot.

The coloring took me maybe an hour at most, but it went by really fast :P

Wow... :o

But the way you say looks so real. Well, I'm a little slow... since I never have studied before, I guess it's so-so.

Great works indeed. ;)

It's amazing how many completely different images can be derived from the same lineart.
